Berner's Bay Cabin

Recently, Brian, Neka, and I spent a weekend at the Berner's Bay Forest Service
Cabin with two of our good friends, Joanne and Chris Carson.
The only way to get there is by boat.

We had all our gear (we went pretty plush...
Jo and Chris, had an inflating queen size mattress!!)

We also had all four dogs. Brian and I of course have Neka, and Jo and Chris
have Neka's brother, Taku; a pit bull mix, Otis; and their dashhound, Camo.
It is so great that all of our dogs get along together.
They kept themselves very busy.
It rained/drizzled all day Saturday, but we played cards and dice.
It was a very relaxing weekend for all of us.

Below is a picture of the cabin from the water.
Sawmill Creek provides a great waterfall to hear and see.
The view from the beach in front of the cabin, looking up into Berner's Bay.
The Carson boat.
Chris and I in the boat.
Joanne inside the cabin.
Brian taking Camo for a ride. This little gal is fearless.
She thinks she is a bull dog/retriever mix because she has to keep up with Otis and Taku.Chris out in the dinghy.
Otis and Taku playing keep away.
Keeping dry, playing cards out of the rain.
Taku taking a swim.
Brian attempting to fish, but a dog (Neka) got in the way.
Camo, trying to look nonchalant.
Otis taking a snooze by the warm fire.
Camo "hiding." She blends in real well doesn't she.
Finally, the dogs are just watching this time, no swimming after the lure.
Exploring.
Jeanette and Joanne.
The whole gang, Neka, Brian, Taku, Joanne, Otis, Jeanette, Camo, and Chris.
Getting ready to go home, just look at all that gear!
And this is just a portion of the stuff we brought!!!

Dreaming of the Road........

This is our home away from home. When Brian retires,
we hope to spend some time visiting family and friends in our motor home.

We have all the comforts....

Nice stove, refrigerator and a good size freezer.
We even take ice cream with us when we go camping!!!
Even a nice bathroom, complete with shower that Brian can stand up in.

Queen size bed that I can make pretty
easy because I can access three sides of it.

Can't believe that she is already 8 years old,
seems like only yesterday that she was small like Kylie!

Amy opening some of her presents.

We got her a real fishing pole and her own tackle box.

Kylie - One Month old today...

In the one below she is about 1 week old. She had just come from her bath so her hair was all slicked down. Notice the cheeks, she will have to grow into those!!!

These next pictures were taken just last week (she is about 3 weeks old).

Amy holding her baby sister.

Her hair is so soft....
It is dark near her head and then turns a nice brown color at the tips.
It is so soft. I couldn't keep away from it.

Karla, Amy, and Jesse.

These next ones were taken today. She is one month old.
This is also the first time that I have actually been able to babysit!!!

Just look at that hair!!!
